Playstyle
Tyto the Swift is an extremely fast, slightly squishy melee assassin that uses hit and run tactics to inflict bleeds and drain health pools before executing low health targets.
- Tyto often lurks on the sides of the battlefield, waiting for an opportunity to harass squishy enemy backliners.
- Tyto's dodge attack, RMB, and Q all have great mobility, and are just as useful when chasing down enemies as when escaping.
- A lot of Tyto's damage ignores armor, making them great at dealing with heroes that can buff their own armor, or the armor of their teammates.
- Tyto's speed is a great defensive asset, and moving quickly and unpredictably is key to avoiding damage from enemies.
Deadly pressure and clean movement are key skills that make a Tyto player shine.

Passive
- When regenerating stamina in combat, gain
+20+25 per second. 7s5s combat timer.
The in-game tooltip incorrectly states a value of +20 stamina regen, when it is actually +25.
The in-game tooltip states only that health regeneration begins 2s earlier, but the actual effect reduces the combat timer, meaning that sprinting and jumping will also cost no stamina 2s earlier.
![Upgrade path R.png](/images/thumb/2/26/Upgrade_path_R.png/52px-Upgrade_path_R.png)
Passive
- On dodge,
+15% damage with basic attacks for 3s.
- On dodge,
- The above damage buff is always active for backstab damage, even without dodging.
This affects regular attacks, jump attacks, and dodge attacks, but does not affect the LMB R - Hidden Talon upgrade.
The in-game tooltip incorrectly states that the 3s buff is also gained on backstab hit, but it is not.
Talents
Swoop
- When below 50% health, reduce cooldown by
3s (
12s9s).- When below 50% health, reduce cooldown by
If RMB R - Swoop de Loop is taken, the cooldown when below 50% health is reduced from 9s to 6s.
Notes
- Dodge attack's forward movement is great for chasing enemies or for escaping on hit and runs.
- Dodge attack, then immediately jump and Blade Dance to send yourself flying! Try using it off a high ledge.
- Be careful not to overshoot with Swoop. It is usually better to undershoot your target and let the landing attack carry you through them.
- If the enemy team starts defending against you consistently, try approaching from a different part of the map - unpredictability is key, especially since you don't have stealth.
